December 10th, Waltham, MA, 2018; Last week in Atlantic City, GPS and Partner Clubs coaches from various clubs across North America gathered together for the inaugural FC Bayern Coaching Course.
GPS NJ hosted the event which saw staff spend three days immersing themselves in the FC Bayern Methodology. Eleven different nationalities were represented in NJ from across 15 GPS locations. The course was run by the Head of International Programs for FC Bayern, Sebastian Dremmler and concentrated on the U12-U15 age groups.
The contents of the course focused on developing technique in high pressure situations, small sided games with a tactical focus and understanding of player roles and system of play. Sessions were held on-field and in classroom over the three day course.
“We are delighted to get the first FC Bayern Coaching course in the books this past week in NJ,” said GPS Director of Coaching Peter Bradley. “It was a fantastic experience for our coaches to absorb themselves fully in the FC Bayern methodology and this will be of great benefit to our players and coaches as attendees implement these ideas within their clubs,” said Bradley.
The course exhibits a growing commitment to coaching education and in turn the partnership’s mission to discover the next top player to represent FC Bayern.
