GPS Announces Greater Binghamton FC Partnership

New York Club to Become Powered By GPS Club

July 23rd, Waltham, MA, 2018; Global Premier Soccer (GPS) is pleased to announce an extensive partnership with Greater Binghamton FC, which will see the New York organization become an Official Powered By GPS Club with immediate effect.

GBFC was founded in 2008 and has become a force at State, Regional and National level. This past season GBFC 05 girls won the New York West State cup and are in the run to be in the National League. This would be the 4th year in a row a GBFC team has qualified to play in the National league. The last 2 years GBFC 01 girls have advanced to the USYS National finals in Frisco, Texas.

FC Bayern Munich and Global Premier Soccer announced their exclusive partnership in 2014 bringing the German powerhouse’s youth academy through GPS Partnered Clubs, to more than 55,000 kids in the United States. GPS was formed in 2001 and is active in 26 US States as well as two Canadian provinces. As the Official North American Youth Partner of FC Bayern Munich, GPS runs over 45 tournaments annually and has International academies in the UK and Spain.

As part of the partnership with GBFC, GPS will provide technical resources and support in program development and marketing. The two parties will also work together to create new programming within the Greater Binghamton, NY area. Available to the players of GBFC will be the GPS New York Regional team program, bringing together the best players from GPS clubs in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany and now Binghamton. GBFC players will also have access to the GPS National Team program, which sees the best players from throughout the GPS network come together to compete in some of the elite youth tournaments in the World.

Through the GPS and FC Bayern Munich partnership players in the area at U11 and U12 will take part in the FC Bayern ID Program and FC Bayern Residential camps in the US each summer. As well as GBFC coaching staff visiting FC Bayern Munich, as part of the bi-annual GPS Technical visits to Munich, Germany.

GBFC will have year round assistance from full time GPS New York coaching staff starting immediately including their upcoming tryouts beginning July 31st and also taking place August 2nd, 7th and 9th 2018.  

High school aged players at GBFC will also have access to and support through the GPS College placement program.

“This is a great opportunity to bring together two very successful soccer programs, giving our players at GBFC additional opportunities to compete at the highest level,” said GBFC President Bahij Kashou. “This partnership will also enable our most talented players to reach the next level, Nationally and Internationally.”
