Matt Hardiman will take the 2003 boys

Leading up to the Global Premier Soccer FC Bayern National Team selection events in January and February, GPS will be individually introducing each of our 10 coaches who are set to lead the National Team Program for 2017. These are elite coaches based at GPS franchises across the country, hand selected to provide a paramount learning experience that will challenge each and every player identified to compete at the highest level.

Waltham, MA, November 30, 2016: GPS is proud to announce that Matt Hardiman from GPS Massachusetts will be the head coach of the 2003 boys National Team who will participate in the Surf Cup in San Diego in July 2017. Hardiman’s team will be selected from the GPS FC Bayern Junior Showcase in California in early January.

The GPS veteran has been with the company for seven years, winning multiple State Cups and a National Tournament.

Most recently, Hardiman coached his Boston Elite 06 boys to win their league in the New England Premiership, and has been ranked second in the state with his GPS MA NPL 99 boys.

The 2017 season will not be Hardiman’s first time coaching with the GPS FC Bayern National Team, as he has been a part of the program for the past 3 years.

“The National Team program is a fantastic opportunity to play with high caliber players from across the GPS program,” Hardiman said. “I’m excited to provide the next step in a players development, and really challenge them to raise their game.”

The GPS FC Bayern National Team Program comprises the top players from throughout the GPS franchises who have excelled in their own regional environment.  The GPS FC Bayern National teams compete in various events throughout North America and select international events such as the Milk Cup outside of the normal Youth Soccer competitive calendar.

The GPS FC Bayern National Team Program aims to provide a professional soccer player experience to the Elite players within the GPS family. Players successfully admitted to the program will receive the highest standard of coaching, experience additional training centers and travel as a team to prestigious tournaments and events.
