August 4th, Waltham, MA, 2015; GPS are excited to announce the development of a new branch of club programming, GPS Soccer Assassins. Led by Danny Gildea, a technical and skills expert, the goal of GPS Soccer Assassins is to develop a love for soccer and the technical aspects of the game with the aim to inspire players to be creative and give them the tools to be successful on the field and a desire to achieve ball mastery.
A major aim in the development of GPS Soccer Assassins has been to connect with players on social media with exercises and tricks they can access and recreate in their own time. The GPS Soccer Assassins Instagram page (@gps_soccerassassins) has grown to 3000 followers in 6 weeks on Instagram with a Youtube page to follow.
“Our goal at GPS has been to always be innovative and stay ahead of the curve from a player development perspective’ said GPS Director of Coaching Peter Bradley. “The launch of GPS Soccer Assassins provides a unique way to engage our members and motivate them to work on their technique within the media they consume on a daily basis.”
GPS Soccer Assassins will focus on ball mastery exercises and freestyle moves. In addition to the videos uploaded to social media and youtube, Soccer Assasins will be developing a full scale 1on1 training program, online development programs and 1-4 day clinics beginning this fall.
The programs provide a self-learning approach with players encouraged to reflect and evaluate on how to improve with internal motivation and dedication essential for success.
